Pineapples and Digestive Health
Pineapple helps with digestion is because of an incredible enzyme it carries called Bromelain. It is best known for its ability to break down proteins and it eases the symptoms of ulcerative colitis, acid reflux, IBS, and helps with general digestive processes, which could be attributed to the Bromelain enzyme.
Pineapples are also high in fiber and water content, this helps to prevent constipation and promote regularity and a healthy digestive tract. Fortunately, pineapples are a powerful aid in breaking down proteins. Having a little pineapple as part of a tasty dessert can help you digest your meal easier.
So what’s the deal with Kefir?
Kefir has become popular in recent times. It is a unique cultured dairy product that’s one of the most probiotic-rich foods available, and kefir benefits are incredible for helping with gut issues like gut dysbiosis.
Kefir is made using starter “grains,” which are basically a combination of bacteria and yeasts that interact with the milk to make the lightly fermented “yogurty” drink that even some lactose intolerant people can tolerate!
The great part about it is it can be made from any source of milk, such as goat, sheep, cow, or even the scrumptious coconut (which goes well with this recipe).
What can kefir help with?
- Boosts our Immune Systems
- Improves Bone Mass
- Aids IBS
